This textile glove book was in response to the brief “minute”. I wanted to create a book that could fit in the palm of my hand. It is far more complex making a glove than I had imagined! This was my fifth attempt after making many webbed gloves fit for a frog or a duck. The poem embellished with embroidered/appliqué illustrations is called “start from scratching”. I wrote this poem one night when I couldn’t sleep and my mind was looping over the phrase “start from scratch”.
